Diane L. Fernald
On July 1, 2010, Diane joined our firm as partner, making our firm known as Allison, Angier, Bartmon, Elkins & Fernald, LLP. She focuses her practice on probate and family law, which includes adoption, paternity, divorce, prenuptial agreements, guardianships, mental health issues and estates; criminal law, civil litigation and real estate.
From 1988 to 2010, Diane maintained a general practice in her own law firm of Ryan & Fernald in Northampton, Massachusetts.
Prior to opening her practice, she was an Assistant District Attorney in the Northwestern District Attorney's Office focusing on sexual assault cases. Diane taught Disability Law at Western New England Law School and was director of the Disability Law Clinic there from l992 though l996. She now teaches in the Criminal Justice Masters Program for Saint Leo University.

Diane is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar, the Federal District Court and the U.S. Supreme Court.
